Fairbanks Mobile Crisis Team

The Mobile Crisis Team is dispatched by the 911 dispatch center in Fairbanks.

Help is available in the Fairbanks area 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere someone needs help, including at school, home, work, or any other community-based setting. Mental health professionals and peer support specialists assess individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Services include triage and screening, assessment, de-escalation/resolution, peer support, coordination with medical and behavioral health services, collaboration with families and natural supports, information and referrals, and crisis planning and follow-up. The mobile crisis team addresses recovery needs and provides trauma-informed care with a specific focus on suicide prevention.  The Mobile Crisis Team is dispatched by the 911 dispatch center in Fairbanks. The City of Fairbanks tracks data for usage of the mobile crisis team.

Courtney Evans, M.Ed.

Courtney Evans, M. Ed., has a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Courtney’s passion lies in the community counseling setting, which she approaches through a cognitive and dialectical behavioral and cognitive processing approach. She places great value on the therapist-client relationship. Outside of the office, Courtney is actively involved in the community by coaching and mentoring young individuals while also sitting on a board of directors. In addition, she enjoys traveling and exploring new hobbies, such as embarking on a sourdough journey.
